Specifications

The open documentation at the heart of SDR-SLC. These specifications describe the protocol between the client and its backends in full so any radio amateur can build their own HF or VHF/UHF station. Or write their own software, against a documented, open standard.

This is the part that makes “build it yourself, cheaply” real. Nothing is hidden, and you’re never locked to a single vendor or a single app.

  • The SLC network protocol and device discovery
  • I/Q streaming and control commands
  • Backend requirements for building your own SLC-compatible device
